The retaliatory duties imposed by the US administration do not apply to such goods as steel and aluminum, Interfax reports, citing US media.
The reports note that other US duties have already been announced on steel, aluminum and automobiles, and therefore in this case the White House decided not to take additional measures.
The retaliatory duties will not affect copper, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors and lumber products, against which the US is expected to introduce separate duties soon.
The White House, in turn, explained that the minimum amount of retaliatory duties (10%) will come into effect on April 5. And higher duties – on April 9.
