RevoCast is to construct an aluminium remelting facility in Langley, British Columbia., Canada.
It will span approximately 11,148m2, be designed with sustainability at its core and will operate with the highest recycled content.
The facility will be equipped to recycle and remelt a range of raw materials.
The factory aims to reduce carbon emissions while producing remelt billets for the North American extrusion market.
Once operational, the facility will have an annual production capacity of more than 80,000 tons (176.4 million pounds) of billet.
Initially, the factory will focus on producing billets in two diameters: Ø178mm (7″) and Ø203mm (8″), with a maximum sellable length of 7.3 metres (288″).
The billets will be produced in the 6xxx alloy series, known for their versatility in extrusion applications.
Thomas Martini, President & CEO of RevoCast, said: “By closing the loop and giving aluminium a second life, we’re not only reducing our environmental impact but also ensuring a reliable and resilient supply of billet to meet growing industry demand.
“We’re investing in sustainability, economic resilience, and regional job creation—all while strengthening the aluminium supply chain across North America.”
Groundbreaking is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025, with plant commissioning set for 2026.
